   MANCHESTER  CITY   3 - 0  SWANSEA CITY

Negredo 8',  Nasri 58', 77'

Manchester City put on another goal feast for their supporters at the Etihad Stadium, though the scoreline didn`t fully reflect the performance of the Welsh side at all.
After the 6-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, City looked to keep up their home form in sparkling condition as they came up against the Welsh side in a hard fought game and coached by Michael Laudrup.
Both sides was coming off their European exploits this past week, while the home side edged out Czech side Viktoria Plzen 4-2 in the Champions League for Swansea, they lost out at home 1-0 to Spanish La Liga side Valencia in the Europa League.

In the previous home game, it took just 13 seconds for City to score the opener in the match and City nearly took the lead in the first minute as well, when some great team build up play saw Samir Nasri and Yaya Toure link up with Sergio Aguero getting in on the act with a quick one-two, Alvaro Negredo then flicked it up over the Swansea back line for Aguero who then poked his shot goal wards with Tremmel making a fairly routine save, as the Swansea keeper got down to his left to with the Argentine not getting much purchase on his effort.
They created another chance soon after when Negredo had a strike pushed away by Tremmel,  who got down well to push it away as the Spanish striker known as "the Beast" had his effort go out for a corner kick, after Jesus Navas played the ball across the area for the striker to lash on goal.

City was dominating possession mainly in the Swansea half for the opening 10 minutes of game, in the 8th minute Jose Canas was fooled by Negredo, who let the ball run on a bit and the Swansea player brought him down outside the area to give the Blues a chance to break the deadlock with a free-kick.
Prior to the set piece being taken, Negredo wasn`t happy with the wall at all as he felt the away side wasn`t back the allotted 10 yards they should have be. It didn`t matter much as the Beast took a monster free kick, which sailed past Tremmel who rooted to the spot as he watched it fly in at the far post for a 1-0 lead to the home side.

This then saw a repeat of last weekend, as City seemed to lose focus and let the opposition back into the game with the visitor’s playing some very attractive football and some nice touches too along with and good patience build up play. Laudrup`s men had a majority of the possession as they controlled the game for a long spell, to which City just couldn`t dispossess them of the ball at all.

Swansea had a few efforts on City`s goal with home keeper Costel Pantillimon being called upon on a few occasion’s to help keep the home side from conceding.
First shot of note for the opposition came, when Jonjo Shelvey managed to make himself some room and he fired a fierce drive at the near post and saw Pantillimon make a save at full stretch to stop an equalizer going in for Swansea as he pushed it out for a corner.
City were backing off a bit too much for the home crowd liking as Shelvey again had an shot go for a corner, with Pantillimon getting a fingertip save on it.
Swansea were creating the better chances in the match when Alvaro on the away side, saw his effort go wide of the far post and had the home side fans trying to rally their men to wake them up, as City seemed to have gone into a slumber since they scored a goal and it was the Swans that looking the most threatening side and their football was very neat and tidy in all aspects. Only thing missing was a goal for them and based on how they played, no City fan would have begrudged them if they had scored.

Manchester City momentarily woke up, when Samir Nasri shown some good individual skill to hold off two Swansea players, before laying off to Gael Clichy and his quick through ball was just directed on goal by Aguero who did well to make anything of it at all.
From the resulting corner kick from Samir Nasri, the in-swinging corner saw Martin Demichelis header strike the bar and hit Aguero who knew nothing about it.

Aguero was booked early on in second half , when a cross by Jesus Navas saw the Argentine put his hands up to block the ball from hitting him, as he was caught in two minds what to do and the ball struck his hands.
Guzman had a half chance for the Swans, when he tried to hit it past Pantillimon in the City goal.
Aguero had another chance go begging, when this time Toure picked him out with a long ball and the striker took it down and rounded the keeper, but his touch was too heavy and had overrun the ball with his effort finding the side netting instead.
He found himself in the wars not long after, when a ball hooked back into the area, saw Aguero not knowing where the Swansea man was and he took a horrible hit with his body going backwards like he was limboing.
Another header from Demichellis from a Nasri corner saw his flick on come a bit too quickly for Negredo, with the Spanish striker having no time to react to the ball hitting him.
City made it 2-0 when Yaya Toure played a lovely pass to Samir Nasri inside the area and his first touch stuck to the midfielder feet and went wandering into the box before putting it the corner from the goalie, for a two goal cushion for the Blues in the 58th minute.

Tremell nearly played City in again with a bad kick from a back pass which saw the ball come to Fernandinho, who then passed it to Aguero and when it was took away from him Pablo Zabaleta came running in and tried to play a cheeky chip which just went over the bar.
City nearly made it three when a cross by substitute James Milner came in and only to be flicked away, Navas then hooked over the Swansea defender head and saw Fernandinho touch bounce off him to the path of Aguero, who waited for the ball to come down and his acrobatic kick then went over.

Nasri then doubled his tally in the game in the 77th minute, when play down the Swansea left saw James Milner play a lovely weighted through ball for the Zabaleta to run onto and the defenders pull back across the area, saw Nasri just run onto it and side foot home for a 3-0 score and make it game set and match to City.
The only difference between the two sides was Manchester City were more clinical in front of goal then Swansea was with the Welsh side not finishing off their chances as they created in the first half of play.

Nasri almost completed a second half hat trick when play from the defence, saw City breakaway with Edin Dzeko and with Nasri in support with him the Bosnian striker then played the ball to Nasri and the Frenchman was inches from making it 4 for the home side as his curling shot went just wide.
A better second half by the Blues, saw them take all 3 points in a hard fought contest against Swansea and see`s them looking to try and in still some of their home confidence into their away form, with a tricky trip at the Hawthorns awaiting them against West Brom on Wednesday.
